This month has seen a range of consolidations going on in the UK. Vyta’s acquisition of FGD was quickly followed by Tier 1 and EOL’s merger meant many have missed Restore Technologies acquisition of Ultratec.

Each of these appears to follow different strategic patterns but it’s great to see excellent companies coming together to hopefully make the combined mass even stronger.

With the recent announcement of Blancco acquiring White Canyon (WipeDrive) it seems the software vendor space is keen to not be left behind. This takes Blancco’s already dominant position even further and will enhance their customer base significantly within the US ITAD and Corporate market.
